What it recognises

Academic excellence,
and somewhere
to use it.

An academic scholarship at Marsden Park Anglican College recognises a student who is already working beyond their year, and backs them to keep doing it. If your child is the one who finishes the work early and then asks for something harder, this is for them.

It is not a discount on a place. It is a statement from the College that we intend to stretch your child, and an expectation on them that they will take it up.

They join a cohort who want the same thing, in a school where that ambition is normal rather than the exception.

Two entry points

Year 7, or Year 11.

Both are academic. Both are for 2028 entry. What a scholarship buys into is different at each end, so choose the one that matches where your child actually is.

Year 7 · 2028

Six years, one campus.

A Year 7 scholarship is a six year decision. Your child starts and finishes in the same place, taught by staff who know what they were like at twelve when they sit the HSC at seventeen.

  • Prep to Year 12 on one campus at Marsden Park
  • The Impact Centre opens 2027, and Year 7 uses all of it
  • Assessed in the year before entry

Year 11 · 2028

The two years that count.

A Year 11 scholarship backs a student through the HSC in a senior school built for it, taught by staff who have marked the HSC for decades at the schools you are comparing us with.

  • Four laboratories, two workshops, a media suite, a 220-seat lecture space
  • ATAR Plus: the ATAR, and the things it does not measure
  • Assessed in the year before entry
The process

Four steps, and we
walk you through each one.

Nothing here is a trick. The assessment is run by an external provider so it is the same test, marked the same way, for every applicant.

Step 1

Register your interest

The form on this page. We email you the dates, the costs and what the assessment involves, today.

Step 2

Apply to enrol

A scholarship application sits on top of an enrolment application, so that comes first. Start the enrolment application.

Step 3

Register for the assessment

Through Academic Assessment Services, the external provider. Register with AAS. Your child sits the test on the published date.

Step 4

Interview and outcome

Shortlisted families meet the Head of College. Every applicant hears back, successful or not, in writing.

Before you ask

The questions we get.

What does the scholarship actually cover?

[CONFIRM WITH THE COLLEGE: full or partial remission of tuition fees, reviewed annually, normally held to Year 12.]

We will put the exact terms in the email we send you, in writing, before you spend anything on an application.

What is the community like for a student who works hard?

Student focused, and small enough that staff know your child's name and what they are good at.

Prep to Year 12 sits on one campus, so the people who teach your child in Year 7 still know them in Year 12. A student who wants to push is not an outlier here, and they are not left to do it on their own.

Does my child have to be enrolled first?

They need an enrolment application in. A scholarship application sits on top of one, it does not replace it.

You can do both in the same week. Start the enrolment application here.

Who marks the assessment?

Academic Assessment Services, an external provider used by independent schools across New South Wales. The College does not write or mark the test.

That is deliberate. It means the result your child gets is comparable, and nobody can suggest the process favoured anyone.

How many are awarded?

[CONFIRM WITH THE COLLEGE.]

We will tell you the number in the email rather than leave you guessing at it.

We are not sure our child is at that level.

Register anyway and read the material before you decide. The assessment is the only way to find out, and plenty of families are surprised.

If it is not the right year for it, the College will tell you that plainly rather than take an application fee.
